Coffee and Contemplation—the Search for Meaning (or an attempt, at least)
Hi, I’m Maria.
I’ve always been drawn to the quiet things—well-placed word, an unfinished thought, the space between questions and answers. I write because it helps me notice. It brings shape to the things I feel but can’t always say out loud.
This blog is a kind of shoreline for me—a place where I can lay things down, let the tide carry them, then return to see what’s left behind. I write to understand. To feel connected. To heal.
Most of what I share here lives somewhere between memory and meaning. I write about grief, joy, small awakenings. Sometimes it’s about books or conversations I’ve had. Sometimes it’s about my own healing or how the ocean reminds me to keep going.
If you’ve ever sat in silence and tried to name a feeling—or if you’ve ever felt like life was whispering something just under the noise—you’re probably my kind of reader.
I don’t write to teach or preach. I write because it’s how I stay honest. It’s how I process the waves I’ve lived through, and how I offer something back. Even if it’s just a question.
This blog is personal. It’s journal-like. But maybe in all this softness and searching, you’ll find something that speaks to where you are, too.
So glad you’re here.
P.S. Say hello on IG if you’re into film photos :)
